Yeah that's the plan. A few days do something other than go balls to the wall. Any suggestions on good places to eat, beaches to go to, other things to do like snorkle or something?

I guess that depends on where you're staying. All along Playa den Bossa there are pretty decent restaurants. I don't remember having a bad meal, we usually just cruise until we find something that looks decent. There is a ridiculously good Thai restaurant in Santa Eularia, I think it's called Basil Thai, I'll check my scrap book this evening.

Water sports are available on any beach. Last year, we just bought a couple of blow up floats and drifted around the water. There's good shopping in Ibiza town if you're with a chick, or if you just want to wonder around. Check out Dalt Vila in Ibiza town, it's the big fortress/castle. I hear it's amazing at night, but we never made it.

Rent a car if you can, the island is bigger than you might expect.

Ibiza Rocks Hotel

It's only a few short weeks until the first guitar gets plugged into the first amp, the first singer takes their first breath and the first drop of sweat hits the white Ibiza sand.

We've already announced the likes of MGMT, The Klaxons, Dizzee Rascal and more; now it's time to reveal the next wave of peerless live acts who'll be soundtracking the best summer of your life.

June 16, Opening Party - Ting Tings & Frankmusik
One of the coolest, inventive and downright sexiest bands to emerge in recent years. Perfect for Ibiza. Perfect for Ibiza Rocks. DJ support comes from Frankmusik and the legendary Zane Lowe.

June 23 - Friendly Fires
Without doubt the coolest new band of the past year, Friendly Fires have claimed the hearts of kids and critics alike. Give them yours.

July 7 - Top Secret Headliner
This week's headliner is still classified, but we can tell you that the superb Kissy Sell Out will play live.

July 14 – Top Secret Headliner (announced later this week!)
Once again, we're not at liberty to divulge the identity of our headliner just yet. Turntable support comes from Zane Lowe.

July 21 - Groove Armada
The party-starting maestros play their first show on the white island. We have a feeling it won't be the last.

September 1 - Soulwax & Burn the Negative
Returning for an unprecedented third year running, Soulwax are peerless whether in front of the amps or behind the decks. Support comes from Burn the Negative.

Here's the rest of the line-up:

30 June The Kooks
28 July Pendulum & South Central (laptop/keyboard set)
04 Aug The Enemy
11 Aug Dizzee Rascal
18 Aug Vampire Weekend
25 Aug MGMT
08 Sept Closing Party with Klaxons and special guests

Seriously... What is all this talk about taking it easy? I guess everybody's different, but I can't imagine going to Ibiza and not partying it up to the fullest. I mean, am I missing something? I am an Ibiza virgin and will probably be hitting up the closing parties this year. So, all you veterans, fill me in....... What is soo difficult about Ibiza partying? I didn't even think there was 24 hour partying anymore on the Island. Don't the clubs close at 6am? If so, that's not quite a daunting task in my opinion. I know that a lot of people go overboard on the drinking and miscellaneous substances but, even so, isn't there plenty of opportunity to sleep it off on the beach, in the room, etc..? Now, in relation to a previous post, I do consider myself somewhat of a robot when it comes to going out. I can usually keep going as long as there's music playing, and I've pulled countless marathons in my life. Basically what I'd like to know, is:

What sets Ibiza apart in terms of clubbing/partying for an extended period of time? I would like to be in the right mindframe when heading over there and don't want to be too naive in thinking I can party like usual.

Thanx 'all

Do you drink or do drugs? Have you ever raged 7 days in a row? When you drank your face off the night before and wake up twitching with a splitting headache and a dry mouth and you want to die.....hitting up bora bora isnt the first thing that comes to mind. But you gotta dig down deep and make it happen :o

Haha, luv the attitude..:gsmile: Yes, I have been in the situation you describe more times than I care to remember (or actually, dont remember, lol). Definitely not pleasant at all. I have really tried to curb the drinking for that exact reason. I now feel that even though alcohol can enhance the night, too much has often resulted in a diminished experienced. I got tired of looking back on an evening and not remembering what was certainly some of the best parts. I still fall off the horse from time to time, but for the most part I think I've really refined my partying to the point that I enjoy each and every event to the fullest. If I do anything, I try to do it in moderation, and let the music take care of the rest. The way this approach has benefitted me the most is my recovery time. I recharge so easily now and can keep going day after day. In any case, to each his own. Lookin forward to the island!!

You're gonna have a blast. Raging for 7 days is harder for some than others. If you can do it, do it. If not, does it really matter? Ibiza is what you make it, you'll have a blast either way.

My wife and I partied hard last summer, we'd find ourselves on our balcony at 11am playing cards and listening to music, from the night before. It goes without saying that we were wiped out after those nights. Did we go clubbing that evening? No, but we still had a blast, kicking it on the beach the rest of the afternoon. Those were actually some of our favorite Ibiza moments.

here's my take on what sets ibiza apart....

The first time i stepped off the plane on the ibiza runway, this rockstar party girl leaped off the steps and kissed the runway and just screamed IBIZA! right then and there i knew it was gonna be incredible. Ibiza is different because everybody is so chill over there and they go to ibiza to party, meet new people, and just have the time of their lives. Ibiza is like a secret without being a secret for clubbing. There is something there for everyone. All the best DJ's play there every single night, seven days a week for 3+ months every year. You can ask any DJ and they will tell you the same thing, they all play that much better when they play Ibiza. The parties and the atmosphere are unmatchable to anything i've ever seen. The clubs are always crazy packed but people don't care because they are so sucked into the party that it doesnt matter anyway. The vibe around ibiza is something very unique, which is why they call it "that balearic feeling". Its very special and very humbling at the same time, its something that everyone respects hence why people are so chill and everybody is on the same page.

From the time you see your first sunset from cafe mambo or cafe del mar you will see what i'm talking about. There is no words to really describe your first ibiza sunset, it really takes your breath away the first time you sit on that rocky beach with a great drink in your hand, surrounded by hundreds of people and listening to the world's best DJ's for free as the sun sets. And when it does and everybody claps and goes crazy because the sun setting means that the night is beginning is a feeling you will experience no where else.

So enjoy ibiza for its stunning beaches, the best sunsets and clubs in the world, and of course for the world class DJ's and believe me when i tell you that its gonna be one of the greatest times of your life!
