Now, that's just crazy talk. I'll reserve my judgement at least until next ASOT.
;) |
Hmm ASOT can be taken separatly from his live shows though. His live gigs are the most important thing and they had been gettin extremely stale recently. He had been playing way too slow and as I said way too commercial.
I hope that live he has rediscovered that winning forumla with the last 2 nights and how successful they have been. |

1. don't jump to any conclusions
2. consistency is not armin's strong suit - you can never expect fantastic performance like this every time
3. his nyc shows have been lackluster aside from summer event last year and 3 years ago
4. armin IS commercial - when you hear his track played at local Sushi joint in one of the least likely places (Wilmington, DelaWHERE?)- you know he is. |

I think you are right. It could be a very false dawn. But im sure I will find out if his gig goes ahead here in 2 weeks. I remain hopeful cuz Armin isnt stupid. He must see the reaction to especially last nights crowd and the style he was playing is the way forward |

don't discount all the warm-up acts that have come/gone. energy takes time to build. This place has been running on pure energy for at least several hours. He had no time to come out shy - had to come out banging and keep it up. When he plays solo gig for 6 hours, hard to fill it with fresh/non-pop-ish tracks.
This is his showcase and an opportunity to remain at #1 spot (which no doubt he will) - therefore get paid top buck for his gigs. Somewhere Tiesto is crying in his baggie of coke. |
