Hey Eco.. I appreciate your help and concerns. Anything you can offer is great.

Well thanks for understanding, because most people woulda taken my comments the wrong way (as offensive). I was just being realistic, but I trust you if you say you're equipped to pull something like this off, and give you my nod for the best of luck :) Will be there to support if it goes down (or when, is the word) hehe...

Well if this is an actual organized attempt I can pass the word onto artists on the Get Physical Label...

They always love to do stuff like this.... especially maybe a label "tent"...

Heidi, Phillip, Audiofly, Tiefschwarz etc had a blast at Minitek even though they didn't get paid and it was a mess.

Just an Idea....

Also have contacts with Ton TB who has been trying to bring people off his agency like Mark Norman to NYC...... Lastly I am proud to say I brought Marcel Woods for his US Debut about 4 wmc's ago...

Even though I lost my ass.

This is a great idea, esp if you have the right contacts to make it happen. Maybe link up with as many promoters in the tri-state, I think you can get a large draw from NYC/NJ if your brand name is promoted the right way. Last summer we did some raves in Bear Mountain and had a lot of people drive 1 hour to an unknown location who were not even electronic music fans, they just were excited about the fact to get wasted and party in the forest. I know that in the Dominican Republic the event & festival business model is driven by sponsorships and it works great that way over there. Their large youth focused brands are very open to supporting to electronic music and that is a great thing! I think more American corporations need to open their eyes to the movement.

I agree. Right on!

Well guys, It's my job (with the help of a Corporate CEO spokes person) to sell the sponsorships.

I have to create a business model that is appealing to them. You can not bank of "Exposure" sponsorships. Ads aren't good enough. They need something serious...

Like, they let us "borrow" $50,000 in solar panels to power a small stage during the day (Publicity Stunt)

Those panels would then be donated to "Habitat for Humanity"..

So, they get the Advertising and their money is written off as a donation, not an advertising expense.

We show that we are being supported by big companies & get to use their product as a publicity stunt.. Plus, people know that our event is donating all of the panels to the poor!

So, when finding sponsors, it has to be win-win if you want to score.

Once you have the appearance that the other big companies think its a great idea, they all jump on board. It's the same as going to venture capitalists for money.

Bear Mountain is 30 minutes south. This event would be like that.

Thanks Again!

ASTRAL PROJECTION / INFECTED MUSHROOM

Possible headliners for the Lake Stage (Friday / Saturday)

What do you guys think of Infected Mushroom?

Ben

i have seen infected mushroom twice so far, nye at webster two or three years ago and after armin at the pool this past summer. they aren't my ideal group, but they are high energy and a pretty solid name. they recently did a show in Syracuse which sold out (it was a small venue, but still)

all in all i guess i approve of IM, as long as there are other "supporting" dj's there

Infected Mushroom seem to sell out no matter where they play. They play in New York with like zero publicity or promotion, and somehow their parties are always packed...

However, I've heard their price is steep... Like Tiesto/Armin steep....
