starting to buy records again...

right, so today i got a fair amount of money for my birthday.. ive not bought any records for about 4 or so years.. and all my birthday money is gonna go on 12"s

i am a gabba-head of 13 years, love the stuff [not the dutch soft pansy ass wank], also i like my hard trance [not the cosmic gate pansy ass wank], and hard techno/schranz

i have really been out of the loop for these last 4 years, so i have no clue on current pioneers, or hot producers, and im finding it rock hard to get back to the same degree of knowledge i was at before.

so basically., id like your ideas on which style i should go for and why... it will need to be a solid reason, re-inforced with track suggestions, as the style i go with now, is the style im gonna continue with, and get back into the swing of things.

some of you know me, some of you dont, for those of you who dont know me,... i like hard nasty music, no funk, no ambience, no vocals, i wont spin any slower than 150 BPM.

out of the 3 styles i mentioned.. gabba/darkcore/hardcore, would be the most favourable to me, but not my GF, and im sure i wont get any comments or serious comments about this. deathchant records, rebelscum and tracks of the sort would be appreciated.
hard techno, would also be good for me, as its sweet to mix, also still hard, journey music, robert natus, andreas kremer etc.
and hard trance would be the 3rd of choice.. i was a massive tracid traxxx, future sound corporation fan, and music of the sort.

so there we go.. im open to all suggestions of any varuation of the above mentioned genres. and tracks and links to these tracks would be appreciated. also any links to sites that are up to date on the mentioned genres would be awesome

thanks

I don't like the schranz/hard techno stuff personally, but I think I could help out with the hardcore-bit. Here are some recent-ish things from Juno:

http://www.juno.co.uk/products/Diab...hina/349436-01/ <- you prolly have this already, but nonetheless, good stuff

Play wonky dubstep and pitch it up a whole ton.

ehh... try

eight:fx - doomchore

sample is at beatport and I dunno how to link you to it :/

Probably not the wonkiest, but you can get the general idea. Just pitch it up as dubstep is usually at a fairly fast (imo) bpm to start out with.

Hey man, really can't decide on choosing a genre for you to spin as I really like stuff from all 3.
I find more fun in mixing hard/schranz techno than say hard trance/hardcore coz you can really play around a lot with the mixing/layering.
Haven't really bought much in these genres myself over the last year or so, mabey you might have a better idea than myself.
Some labels that come to mind though are Skull Tunes, Bitshift, Abstract Records, Carnage, Cardiac Arrest and Compressed.;)
