Firstly, I'm not a new user, just haven't used these forums in a while and forgot my old username! I'm having an issue with my 1210's: I'm not home very often (unfortunately means not a lot of time on my beloved decks anymore :( ) and since coming home have been trying to have a little fun on the turntables.
However, the tonearm (on both my 1210s) is bouncing around like mad - even when the track isn't running. The decks are playing the vinyls fine, but as soon as I cue the vinyl with the platter running the tonearm is still bouncing around.
Never seen this before, and really no idea what can be causing it I've turned to here. Please someone help so I can play with them again - I leave on Sunday!!!! :(
Thanks in advance, djmm |

| Have you adjusted the counterweight according to your cartridge? |

| Yeah, I did whenI set the decks up - and they haven't moved since, even though I've not used them in a while. The arm is hopping along ot the grooves on the vinyl while it's playing, but it's when I hold the vinyl to cue it that the whole arm is still hopping, as though it's moving with the platter and not the vinyl....?!! |
