| Man I loved college. I remember when I joined a fraternity I had to volunteer a day at an elder care and shove an old person down the stairs in their wheelchair. Good times. |

4-20 festival in Boulder at the University of Colorado is insane. Destroys UCSC. Cops simply stand around and do nothing. The school just sent this as an email:
DATE: April 17, 2009
SUBJECT: A message on safety issues and the 420 campus gathering
We would like to take the opportunity to advise members of the community who may be participating in, or impacted by the unsanctioned "420" gathering on the CU-Boulder campus, of a few basic things to be aware of regarding the event.
The University of Colorado at Boulder is committed to the health, safety and academic success of our students, and encourages them to avoid any behavior that may put them at risk.
The campus administration believes the annual 4/20 event is not an effective way for students to influence changes in the law regarding marijuana use.
As in the past, CU-Boulder's campus police will maintain an appropriate presence as they would at any campus gathering.
CU Police will monitor the event for health and safety issues or problems.
We will treat this gathering in similar fashion as any major crowd event on campus. We ask that you be aware of your surroundings, respect the people around you, obey police and CU officials' requests at all times, and not engage in any activity that threatens your safety or the property of the campus.
As with any other gathering on campus, public safety hazards will not be permitted. Public safety hazards include barbecue grills, glass bottles of any kind, trampolines, slack lines, water slides, and other items that create a risk for persons in the area.
Thank you for your attention and your cooperation, |
