Hi all,
We all know the cheesy sound of trance, the typical supersaw sound , the supersaw arp , the supersaw pluck that occurs in 84% of most trance songs , the typical saw pad and all..

I was wondering , what would the cheesy sound of trance be in the next decade?
SuperSquares?
Sine Plucks?
PWM Pads?

Your thoughts are welcomed..

it's all been used and it's all been recycled
but the possibitlities are endless so noumerous variations will keep on coming

Yes .. Thats really true. SuperSquare exists now , its kinda like a square waveform layered with some sawtooth with some distortion on it .. Its the lead on Sied Van Riel - MME.

Maybe there will be a new type of synthesis , some kind of waveform , that will spark a new generation of chessy sound .. I mean , look at how the JP-8000 affect the whole dance music world..

when it comes to cheese id never know, its the most unpredictible genre there is imo beacuse its always some leader leading it and some fans following it making acts like resonanse amplifying itself.

Like you actually want people discussing forcasting the next waveform used for cheesey music, as if the waveform hasnt been discovered yet? This...needed to be a thread?

Its not about the waveform , its more about the sound that will become chesse in the next decade..

And thinking again , supersaws really are great .. they are kinda like electric guitars for rock music... and electric guitars have been around for a long long time..

Drums, sub bass and analog will be cheesy

Hi-Mids, snares and crackling noizes will be cool. As wll scratching done with a jacket zipper, all by 2015 I swearz :disbelief

I feel as if trance is going to start borrowing sounds from DnB in higher amounts, get ready for wobbly basslines to the max and the death of melodic stuff that is going to make way for a lot of really techy stuff.

seems everyone thinks dnb and breaks will be more present in trance like before. cant wait im already on that waggon cause advanced fast rhytms rock!
