Instead of booking the same DJs (btw this yr BEB was one of the worst, music wise) and bring in new, talented faces. MOST of the people which attend BEB don't care who's playing, its randoms that just go to BEB cause its the cool thing to do, like a trend (speaking from Ottawa here). Or its people that yes are into EDM and accept anything, cause expectations are not high.
Bring at least 2 solid acts in each room, and i mean like Sasha&Digweed, Victor, someone who is actually good....even Eric Prydz would work better. The rest, have upcoming talented locals or talented 'smaller names'.
People at the end will appreciate the music way more....then acts like Deadmau5, Offer, ect.

I agree, 90% of everyone there doesn't care about the DJs. Fresh blood would be nice and more interesting.
And no Deadmau5 doesn't count because he was in the wrong time slot and most people I talked to didn't like him at all. |

Just look at the videos for Sensation White in Europe and see that a higher percentage of people are wearing white than at Bal en Blanc.
There must be a way.
The ambience and light effects are so much better with more people in the same colour.

I'm sorry I don't agree , this isn't Europe and this isn't Sensation White.
The one thing I have always liked about MTL events is they allow ppl to dress what they want. This is consistent with the Montreal spirit that has existed for years.
I don't think ambience will improve at all.
Freedom of expression is mandatory folks , we aren't living in a facist state. |

Don't get me wrong, I love Digweed and I do enjoy Sasha, but the fact that they play "together" doesn't add anything, if not incohesion when they switch decks.
It's a lazy tag team, switching every now and then, sometimes after 30 min, sometimes after an hour. They could use their skills and bring a real S&D act, but it's just putting two powerful names together that doesn't differ from their solo sets. I would much rather seeing them play one after another. |

ok maybe its cuz i just started reading the secret but
law of attraction says that if you think positive thoughts positive things will happen
instead of putting down beb and having no faith in their booking decisions lets just be positive and say "I believe Bal en Blanc will book good talent for the 16th party..."
It might just work! :P |
