I'm just trying to figure out why, if you at some point came from a small party background, would feel the need to throw out sardonic comments regarding something that was obviously a low-budget, DIY endeavour.
i guess you missed the sarcastic joke. i called it a christmas store because there just seems to be only lights in that bar.

Yeah, I guess I don't read sarcasm all that well. Tone seemed a bit more on the sardonic side, like there was something to be mocked. I just feel there's more than enough of that sort of pettiness in the dance music scene these days (and I've contributed more than my share in the past), and we're just doing our best to get back to the basics.

And the enemies comment? Not sure where that's going, but I'd say it's safe to assume we all have a few people who don't like us for one reason or another. Such is life.
the enemies comment was not directed at you or about you. it was just a general comment.
as for your events and photos, i hope that you dont take this the wrong way but im pretty sure that you or a friend has a point&shoot digital camera that would take worthwhile photos rather than blurry photos with your phone. that would help your event more than a bunch of blurry photos where you can barely make out what you're looking at.

Re: enemies - yes, I caught that after the fact.
And with the exception of the first one, it was actually my wife who snapped the pics. And while I realize that they aren't the clearest, they actually do a pretty good job of capturing the mood of the evening (biased as I may be).
We'll get the video footage up soon and see if that helps the cause. Thanks for the suggestion.

despite the picture quality, the video effects look nice

lets put it this way, the pictures mean nothing to any of you that werent there. But the A/V + sweet tunage that night was far better than I've heard at a most big production parties.

That was our friend BA from Core Matrix. Here's a Youtube sample of his work:
The he was coming up with on the fly was absolutely mind blowing and we'll definitely be bringing him back for a later installment.
Hey El K Dee! Glad you enjoyed, and thanks for the kind words!

This was a fun free party in my 'hood with a killer sound system so i had to checkit! My bwoy Dylan T was laying down some sick new Techno on vinyl upon my entry as a special birthday guest! ....we were then taken thru a journey of Detroit, Chicago, Berlin and Barcelona. Great selection and programming. Next was Andreas Marrouchos who played the most technically precise 3 Deck hard Techno set i have seen in years or maybe ever! That was consistent as heck. I also caught some of Westside Wax who wowed me with some creative turntable trickery, dropping all kinds of tech and even breaks. Props to Pivot Techno for throwing this jam!
