One Viva track (non-EDM) that gave a good laugh, was Die Toten Hosen - 10 Kleine Jägermeister :p

And Stefan Raab - Hier Kommt Die Maus!

isnt there a song that uses the same beat as sash-ecuador only with female vocals, trying to remember the name.

hmm... I seriously doubt such track exists, my guess is that you're confusing it with some other track

But if it exists, and the vocals are decent, then I'd really love to hear it!

I'm sure GrimReaper or some other educated TA knows the answer to this.

Maybe some Spaniard here would like to translate what Rodrigo says in the beginning of Ecuador, always wanted to know.

With a few seconds of googling:

"Give me your hand and come with me
Let's travel to search for the magic sounds
In Ecuador!
Listen to me!
Now yes!"

But as i know like 12.37 words in Spanish i can't say how correct the translation is :stongue:

Because everyone seems to be very shy when it comes to posting in this thread :(

..

Tony & Jyri, get in!

Heh, i used to watch Club Rotation with Daisy Dee every week for years since '96 and onwards. Will think about some tunes i enjoyed back when Viva was still good. :p

That would be Stunt - Raindrops. It features a slightly reworked sample from Ecuador.

Awesome.

Thanks again Spidey :)

Here are a few tracks i remember seeing/hearing on Viva at some point during the time i was most into music channels.. from faster old skool stuff to more mellow. Nicely 2 of them are piano driven tracks. :D

Saw both the Red5 vs. Hypertrophy mix and the ATB vs. Woody van Eyden mix of Too Much Rain played on Viva in around late '98 and i always preferred the prior to the overhyped ATB mix.

Niceness! Thanks for all the flashbacks, I'm also having a hard time remembering VIVA tracks, but this one is burned to my eyelids:

Sure thing to get a 15 year old boy glued to the TV. :toothless

We all progress to different types of electronic music, but some of my early trance influences were hearing Paul van Dyk, System F, Art of Trance, ATB, and a few others. Some of those early anthemish tunes still stick in my head when I hear them again. Here are a few of those, and a PVD set that definitely caught my attention when I saw it: (actually I first found that set on tranceaddict long ago)

(Hearing this set got me hooked on PVD as a live DJ, I already knew him to be a great producer, but this set is legendary)

Gonna head to uni, but how the hell has no one posted this monster yet:

Cosmis Gate - Exploration of Space

I can't remember this one, actually. Are you sure this was such a monster back then?
Maybe I have just missed it among the thousands of tracks I listened in the 90's.

Some more:

Dune - Can't Stop Raving

Jens - Loops & things

Mega lo'mania - The Finest

Mark 'Oh - Love Song

I guess when Alien Factory gets mentioned this should be posted (or Tomorrow or Destiny):

Alien Factory - Get The Future Started

man i forgot all about this lol, i got maniac into that one at clubs. i just think it was the perfect last track of a warmup dj when the crowd sees the header and the warmup dj explains to him how the mixer works and . so fun to watch dj switchning while that loony track runs.

M - Razzia was great.

Funny too:

and also from Germany: DJ Duck - Donald D. Is Gay

Not Trance, but a big VIVA hit (2x Platinum in Germany):

lol you don't have to tell me, I had their album :stongue:

In retrospect it's probably the worst piece of 'music' I've ever paid for! :p

Track number 8 had a funny name though, The Sad But True Story Of Ray Mingus, The Lumberjack Of Bulk Rock City, And His Never Slacking Stribe In Exploiting The So Far Undiscovered Areas Of The Intention To Bodily Intercourse From The Opposite Species Of His Kind..

edit: These must be posted sooner or later..

I always liked Huri-Khan a lot more than Stormstorm.
