Has anyone setup an xone92 with a usb to midi?

| Ive been trying to figure out how to get the knobs and buttons to react in ableton 7, but no dice. Anyone know how to set it up, or do i have to buy another means of hooking up my xone92 to my computer |

| Its not there. The device shows up as a standard USB midi. I was trying to set it up using the manual method but its still a no go. |

| mac or pc? You might have to configure the xone useing audio midi set up before you start up ableton. Not too sure, I dont have one but that was first thing that came to my mind |

The Xone 92 doesn't have a MIDI interface built in. It's just 5-pin MIDI DIN in/out.
So I assume you have another USB->MIDI interface. That is what you want to select in Ableton for receiving MIDI.
Also, the Xone 92's MIDI is VERY limited. Only controls with the little "MIDI-port" icon transmit midi. I know the crossfader, filter knobs, and all of the light ring buttons transmit MIDI, and I believe it sends out MIDI clock based on the tapped tempo as well.
Not sure it will do what you want. |
