Just noticed this on their MySpace. Anyone have info on this party? I missed them a couple weeks back in NYC so would love to go but depends...anyone know how long headliners there typically play?

Probably 2 hours. G Lounge is smaller then Love, and I believe it has a dress code. It gets pretty packed in there. But it's Kyau and Albert. In Philly. So it's going be a hard thing to pass up.

Philly shuts down at 2am or is it 3?...
Not sure if its even worth it for this venue...

G shuts down at 2am. 125 shuts down at 3:30am. And Shampoo shuts down at 6am usually. Yeah, it's going be over packed, and Im' not a big G Lounge fan, at all. I never liked the vibe. And then the overcrowding, super overcrowding. Sometimes I feel like 99% of the people there don't know the DJ.

Time for Philly Road Trip part 4 :D

thansk everyone. i want to hear kyau & albert but that trek for 2 or 3 hours doesn't make sense. also, typically i hate places with dress codes probably the vibe i'm not into but we will see.

yeah G Lounge is a nice venue, I really don't know how Kyua & Albert will work there. You can have PVD playing and most of the crowd wouldn't be there for him. They will be there because it's the hottest venue in the city. The vibe will probably be a bunch of people not caring about the music, and you will probably here people complaining about the music. I know the last two times I was there, people were complaining about the music, because they expected hip hop.

Great venue but not the right crowd for the music.

He nailed it right on the spot. It's like when they had this trance event at Starters Pub on Riverport in Bethlehem. All these people looked at eachother like "What the hell is going on? What is this music!" Plus it gets very crowded, so if you like to dance, don't expect to dance at all at G Lounge. I still might make an appearance for a bit, just to catch their set. Depends. =P

ugh this is sounding similar to when i went to hear them in boston last year except rise was full of crackheads with no idea what was going on or what they were even listening to. i want to hear them though and they aren't going to be back in nyc for at least another 11 months probably

I would totally go if we had a place to crash. Montreal made me broke for a bit....... and I would rather pay for an excessive amount of alcohol than a hotel. :haha:

they played an awesome show at love, but idk about this venue. sounds real bad

Edbiza is always open to you Kelly, but trust me, everything stated above is true.
I think K & A will be like what the F**K, this is NOT a trance venue; not the crowd for it...very strict dress code, and people have -0- clue about music, unless Hip-Hop or some mashup...really not worth it..Bad Booking in my mind....its on the Rittenhouse Square area which is nice to eat,etc..but not for a club.

Wish Emerald City was still there.....
