Alan Braxe / artists (A)
Real Name: Alain Quême
Profile: Alain Quême first jumped on to the scene with "Vertigo", released under Thomas Bangalter’s label Roulé. His alias (Alan Braxe) is an homage to his home town in France. Along with Thomas Bangalter and Benjamin Diamond, Alain produced the biggest dance track in electronic music’s history. Stardust’s "Music Sounds Better with You" was an instant hit, and they made a music video to go along with it. If you watched music networks at all in 1998 or 1999, you would have seen it several times a week.
He is the cousin of DJ Falcon (Stephane Quême) and Quartet (Delphine Quême).

from discogs

alain, along with one of the dudes from daft punk, made this bomb 10 years back. today, people like me are still waiting for this genre to rise. it looks like its controlled by the snobby french as new comers are constantly shut down :P but anyway, I heard a tune which was just released on a hed kandi cd set, and it blew me away. this remix is perfect for summer

I had a copy of Curtomised by Quartet for ages, and I only found out about six months ago that it was by Delphine Quême. I shocked, but I love those little discoveries.

french house is pepe bradock, early daft punk, nicolas chaix, dj deep, st germain, franck roger etc

it might be french, but this has little to do with house music

I was going to disagree with you, because I like commercial house a lot, but then I listened to the sample. Yuck is correct. :haha:

This has about as much to do with house as Rihanna does with hip-hop.

mm, well they are definitely french house productions. the last one though is definitely more ny oriented, and it is a later production. the first is just a classic dj deep production, one of the central figures of the parisian deep house scene

here's another

+1

I have found a lot of good stuff on french-express but this sounds like it's trying to be more of that nu-80's sound.

I'm stoked to check out all the other true french house tracks in here though, thanks.

Been a fan of both Kris Menace and Lifelike for years now. They both sort of went downhill for a bit but I dig their latest stuff.

i don't mind the cheesy commercial french stuff. it makes me feel good and that's all that matters.
