| if you step away from the internet you'll notice 911 conspiracy theorists and their entire "movement" disappear. they are not at all relevant. the only reason people like myself continue to engage with these idiots is because we don't like liars. |

um, the truthers lie about almost everything. you seem to be under the impression that there is a debate going on. there isn't. there is about as much evidence to support the accusation of a US government conspiracy on 911 as there is to support creationism. |

Colorut: many people I know - who are not regulars on the internet - believe in some sort of American government involvement or cover-up.
Certain individuals call people like you as truthers because it is largely a derogatory term, implying that people like you have the full and unquestionable truth to the story. This way they can make it easier to mock those people, and lay the blame on them, and compare them to lunatics and crazies, making real psychopaths and criminals look like angels. So how can "truthers" LIE? Oh, and yes: who are they lying to? Isn't it an oxymoron? Its the government and its affiliates who always have the facts! Without government accrediation, your views are meaningless - kind of ironic if your case deals against the government. Its a fool-proof system that cannot be turned upside-down so easily.
I'm telling you - this is a pro-government campaign to make those who question the government as radicals, lunatics, and so on.
Truther - its an incorrect term, a derogatory term. They often dont have the facts - but disagree, dispute, question and criticize the official storyline. And pursue alternative views to the official story. And so does a majority of people, who believe that the government was NOT clean and transparent on 9/11.
Questioning everything that the government does is the right thing to do. Taking things for granted is what has ended America into its current mess and a significant deviation from the Constitution. Especially when the government is unaccountable to anyone, breaks laws and lies to people. Looking at it all and dismissing it as conspiracy theorists on the loose is just ignorant. Today they downplay 9/11, tomorrow they'll downplay worse things than that. One day they just wake up behind totalitarian bars or dont wake up at all.
You just can't beat the system.

Right on, many people I know especially the old fellas who do not even know what the internet is let alone look at 9/11 web sites firmly believe that the government is covering up the truth. They obviously know from their wealth of experience that governments have always done this. Passing off a bunch of bull through the ones who have lived through similar instances is not as easy as fooling the newer generations. |

Lol "Do we know what happened?"...
A government set up an event which convinced people to let them go to war and take away more perceived freedoms. Then later a few more events were set up in order to keep the idea that there is an enemy alive just long enough for them to do what they needed to do.
Saying terrorist are out to get you is just as stupid as saying America supports Equal Rights. |

lol, all that means is crazy people flock together. you could probably find plenty of creationists too if you looked hard enough; all that means is people are stupid.
if 911 truth were relevant we would have seen something like a second investigation. but there is no investigation, there are no indictments, there is no supporting science, and after all these years we still haven't seen anything even resembling a coherent hypothesis from a single truther.
you've got nada. |
