it's in their genes to value fatty foods - their fairly recent ancestors had to survive on a very low amount of fat in their diet for hundreds of years. obviously this is no longer helping survival, but the craving still exists... hence fried chicken and other 'soul foods' being so popular among blacks |

i was joking, i hardly expect to be a bastion of wisdom by the time i get my degree in a few months :P
it does make sense to me though, not that there aren't clearly social factors too. we know that genetics determine how well our bodies handle food (ie. lactose intolrance).. not too far fetched to suggest that tastes in food can differ from race to race on a similar scale. |

Get free grilled chicken at KFC
Although we haven't eaten KFC since that whole bogus "genetically altered chicken scandal," a piece of free grilled chicken sounds like a pretty good deal.
Grilled chicken? Yes, KFC is urging you to taste their "unfried" side. Their newest chicken is marinated and grilled. Can't hurt to try it.
So for today only, you can show up at your local KFC and ask for your free chicken. But don't try and get all specific, the manager decides whether you get a breast, drumstick or thigh. |

Exactly, meanwhile she drives a huge, gas guzzling SUV. If she rode the bus, then I might feel sorry. |

| Wow haha so that's what was going on the other day. I drove by the popeyes near my house in the hood and there was seriously a line out on to the street for like a block. They had police directing traffic and everything. This was at 2pm I drove by that area again at 6pm and the line was still just as long :wtf: |

| Is that even a good deal? 8 pc for 5.99 I'm pretty sure you can get a whole assorted amount of fried chicken at publix for 7.50 and it's better. |
