Punta Cana, DR
Aruba
Jamaica
Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Ixtapa, etc in Mexico.
Santa Marta, Venezuela
Are all pretty affordable and offer all inclusive packages. Expedia has deals for most of them.
Also a very sexy romantic little place is Buzios in Brasil, about 2 hours from Rio. You can fly into Rio and from there do the trip to Buzios for a few days. http://www.buziosonline.com.br/indexe.htm
Also there is Punta del Este in Uruguay, a really cool summer spot, also called South America's Ibiza (and cheaper than Ibiza). http://www.vivapunta.com/en/index.html
I've heard a lot of good things about Costa Rica too. Or what about Puerto Rico? Don't need a passport and won't break the bank. Or Hawaii? There are a lot of possibilities, depending on the budget.
edit: take note that when reading forecasts for South American spots, they use degrees celsius. ;) |

| my fav vacation spot is dubai, been there 4 times in past 2 years, amazing beautiful beaches world class architecture, amazing clubs, a lot of unique spots, even romantic ones very easy to find ur way around if u plan your trip well, the place is freakin cheap to have a good time, it seems really expensive but its not at all. and make sure u dont spend on cab if u go there, just rent a car, load maps on the gps and ur US license is valid, and u dont need a visa if u have a US passport. |

I love St Croix!! you can do so much on your own there- because its small and easily navigated. In addition, its really cheap! The best hotel is right on the beach- you open your slider to the sand, and on said beach are pal tress with hammocks to lounge in! We sometimes come home from the bar at night/morning and choose to sleep there- its amazing!
The views everywhere are amazing, especially the old castle that you can go up to and climb around and its on a very high point so you can see all around the island.
I suggest renting a car so that you can go to all the fun places!
There is a small rain forest as well, which is fun to drive up to durring the day.
There are bars on the beaches- my favorite is changes in latitude which is on the fredriksted side (where most of the natives live). The Christiansted side is mostly tourism- shops restaurants ect. You can also take boats to the other islands- st john, ect.
they have a live webcam too which is fun!

The cam here is right near RumRunners which is a fun restaurant!
I like the Divi best for hotels- but i of course have not tried them all. The Divi is beach side and accross the street is their casino- which is small but a ton of fun.
The divi runs from 88-200 a night- depending on when you go. I usually go in Oct-Nov as the price is best then.
In addition the nightlife is fun! Of course no clubs or anything like that but many smaller freidnly bars and I really love the people. Ive been going for 8 years now and have made many friends :) |
