Just a few odd designs, wot i think we need is one thing, like the cross, and then addiction, but just sommit a bit different, to kick of anyones imagination who wants to have a go :D

I can host, just talk to me on the irc channel :D

Sometimes, the right design, done in black and white can be twice as effective as a coloured design, spesh when all the walls with posters on these days are multicoloured, a black and white one IMO would stand out from the rest of them.

nearer the night, i think we need to go over rough playlists for each DJ so that those of us that are playing wont be dropping the same tunes over and over.

the odd anthem here and there will be good, recognisable tunes will get the crowd moving, remember we are playing for the crowd, not for ourselves, we may enjoy what we play, but its the crowd that has to enjoy it as well. it's basicly a question of balance.

oh yeah i'll pass down this bit of advice as well to those that have never played a club before, PREPERATION !
some DJ's can go into a club and just drop anything they like and it comes off well but look at Mario Piu last crasher, he played an unprepared set and it sounded crap.
U know how long u've got to play, practice a few sets that will fill your time slot, u are going to have a lot of distractions, ppl asking for tunes, trying to talk to u, drinks, other DJ's in the booth with u, it wont be like DJing in your bedroom, a handy tip is this, on your vinyls write the BPM of each track on the sleeve or on the label of the vinyl itself, it will save u having to calculate it while u are live, it will cut down the time u have to beatmatch on the decks too.
like i Said, Preperation is the key to doing a succesful set.

oyu say the venues is pretty much sorted... well what about bar staff, I assume they are supplied?

Yeah guys, play good tunage but you've gotta keep it moving and that means dropping some well know tunes now and then otherwise the crowd (i predict prodominantly scallie *be warned*) will get bored.

I rekcon anyone not assigned a job should, yeah, wear a t shirt, i also rekcon these people should be sort of entertainers (no i don't mean juggling and stuff), cheering up people who look down, socialising with people who want to socialise, saying 'having a good night?' to as many people as possible :p. I think it would help to bring a friendly atmosphere to the club. Of course we've gotta be a little careful, no socialising with some drunk jealous scallie's attractive girlfriend eh ;)

Promotion wise i think we should start dropping flyers after NYE, with big drives at January crasher and Futuregods II.

Neo : is there any chance i'll be able to do some of the lights?

Luckally leeds is pretty much a scallie free area and i reckon the majority of people coming will be students (i.e scum of the earth to some people!!!!!), as well as people who goto sunny d and good grief yorkshire, as sunny d north is held in leeds and good grief is at wakefield (10-20 miles from leeds) so it may be a idea to flyer them as well, as well as invade every forum on the net remotly linked to the UK!
Dumonde Trancer
