I'm in the market for a new keyboard.
I have an old M-Audio Radium 49 Keyboard. I don't like it cuz you have to press the keys all the way down to be able to hear anything.
What are your recommendations? I heard Novation keyboards are some of the best.

Are your keys velocity sensitive? Give them a hard whack, might solve your problem. I'm still using my old Midiman (pre-M-Audio name) Oxygen 8. Love it. |

Check the controller settings in order to find where you can turn off the velocity or you can simply adjust the velocity of the keys pressed manually within the pianoroll of your DAW. |

i like things with many lights. When i'm at home and my hot girlfriend, her name isn't really important because she isn't real, cancels on a date, i like to turn off the lights and pretend i'm in a tie fighter and vader is telling me thru the intercom how some people just don't appreciate nice archetexture. We would probably go have a few drinks after and he would make fun of those gay storm troopers in their gay uniforms.
(i apologize if the gay term made anyone offended. Darth vader probably was a homophobe) |

Jesse,
I recently picked up the Novation REMOTE SL 61 and it is the bomb digity.

Not only do you get a really smooth and easy to play controller, but it has a little control surface built right in to control your virtual instruments. The Automap software changes the control surface to map to whatever instrument or plug-in you just opened / activated in your software. I love it. you can custom map all the controller knobs to whatever plug-in controls you like. huge time saver for me.. no more hand tweaking parameter automation.. just grab the knob and go! highly recommended. got mine from west la music for $499. |

Then you really really haven't played with good keys or anything close to that. |

i own 2 Fender Rhodes mk1's and a virus TI(which imo has some of the best weighted keys out there). For a midi controller the novation remote is impressive. |
