Hot off their Fabric CD, dance-music illuminati Metro Area, aka Morgan Geist and Darshan Jesrani, will be djing together for the first time in Boston at Where’s the Love ? at the Good Life, Saturday, May 9th.

Metro Area’s music can be described as owing as much to the essential sounds of Chicago House and Detroit Techno as to disco, italo, and boogie. The production duo made waves with their Metro Area EPs and history with their stone-cold classic, Miura, all released on Morgan Geist’s Environ Records. Tastemakers and master djs, they have been ahead of the curve for over a decade, killing dancefloors with deep crates of gems and unclassics while filling record boxes with records that sound as fresh and future as ever.

Although both have played Boston before, Morgan for Robot Love Songs and Make it New, and Darshan for 12 Inches of Pleasure, they will be helming the turntables in the city together for the first time for a new special event series, called Where’s the Love ?, conceived by New York vinyl stalker Alex from Queens, from 12 Inches of Pleasure, with Scottish up-and-comer Mark Ingram, aka Sleekit. Sharing opening duties with Alex and Mark is Massachussetts' own Balearic string pusher, Scotty Bliss.
