One of my soundcards keep blowing the internal fuse when set to 230V, any ideas why? Tried contacting MOTU but no reply yet |

Yo, know it sounds crazy but is the IEC cable (kettle lead) your using OK? Try switching it out. Seen it before as a cause for popped fuses.
Also, are you running it from a power conditioner? Could be your mains outlet(s) have trouble with spikes.
Other than that, it's unlikely but not impossible: have you checked all the audio cables for no shorts - just undo the XLR/TRS casings and see if anything touching or run a meter over each end to make sure there's no cross conduction.
Finally we once had a bad batch of fuses at work and it drove us crazy until we figured it out - basically the manufacturer had put the wrong (too low) wire in the glass fuse meaning it popped at the slightest spike. |

Running from a power conditioner mate, lights are ok on that, tried different power leads and tried it with only the power lead plugged in:conf: |

Hmm. Strange. How long do you get from a fuse? The moment it's switched on just over the course of use in a day?
also, I know stupid question, but are you using the right fuses.
Even though it could be the correct rating, are you meant to use slow blow fuses? Have a look at one of the fuese in the other units and make sure they absolutely match the new ones you're putting in the problem uint. Actually go one step further and run a meter over then both to make sure there isn't a problem with the fuses, that way you can know for sure if the motu has a internal problem.
Also, just thougt of something: with it completely unplugged from everything, slide the voltage selector switch back and forth a good few time, even srpay some switch cleaner fluid (record cleaner fluid) in there. It could be the switch is not all the way over and is shorting it out. This would only apply if it's an instant fuse pop. |

, that's the right fuse, then that means it has an internal problem, possibly the transformer inside.
You'll need to send it off..... |
