| Does anyone use skype on their iphone. Apparently its only like $3 a month for unlimited calls (well 10,000mins a month) Just wondering if this can completely replace a conventional phone plan. |

This. Since it uses data, your voice plan is not affected. |

Ive got it, you have to be in a wifi network to use it.
I hear there is a hack on the way though. It works but call quality is around a c or c+ |

Is it really that horrible? And you seriously have to be on a wifi network? In the US you can use your data connection. |

should of put this on iPhone thread homeboy.
Skype is banned in Canada for the iPhone, only way to get it is jailbreak your unit or have a us iTunes account.
Skype is wifi only, you can apply VoipOver3G and hack it to work over data.
I rarely use it, none of my friends use Skype but, it's crystal clear from what I've tested.
I'm gonna test out a friends account soon, since he bought a load of Skypeout mins. |

FYI, anyone can get a US iTunes account (without a US credit card), I have a Canadian and a US one. Just log in, download free US only apps and you're done.

Yeah that's what i said ... get a us account, ppl been doing it within the first hr when Skype came out. It's not that hard to by pass that limitation.
Skype running on a stock unit is not all that great, they should of allowed Skype to run on data in the first place. |

| Good thing I would rather use Windows Mobile then. No limits such as this. |
