| We don't really have Frats here in Australia. What's the point of being in one? I mean, are there any benefits or anything? Or is it just a partying thing? |

From my (admittedly limited) understanding, they apparently have the abilities to provide you with some additional academic leverage via things like tutoring programs, and sometimes scholarship rewards for outstanding academic performance.
Or, to put it another way, it's just a partying thing. |

, I edited that .
Felt a little more comfortable with things I knew for sure about, but the networking aspect associated with the fraternity experience is something that generally goes well beyond your actual time there.
But yeah, that awkward interview process sort of what I was thinking. Do they just figure it out from a secret handshake? 'You're hired!' |

I went ahead and snuck in some more confusing edits.
It's just that the whole job opportunity issue is something that I really just overhead from others.
Any fraternity doucheba, er...'brothers' wanna confirm this for me? |
