any Aphex Twin fans on the site?
i think Richard D. James is amazing. his music is incredible, whether it's the calmness of his ambient albums or the fast-paced beats of his more recent work. i don't believe Aphex Twin can be categorized (some put him loosely under techno, but it shouldn't be). |

You should check out other artists from Warp, like Squarepusher. He is ing amazing :D
Some call it IDM (Intelligent dance music) but I think that's bollocks. Experimental Breakbeat related music is better in my opinion..

There's a great norwegian band called Jaga Jazzist, they have a track which is out of this world if you're into this kind music, the track is called "Animal Chin". It's got a lot of jazz influences which is really cool when it's mixed with their tearing beat skillz :D
Another norwegian artist which I do very much recommend is a fella called Rune Lindbækk. He's got an amazing track called "Ok, kjør romskip". I dunno how to classify this, all I know it is certainly not trance. Funky beat over a funky bassline with kicking strings :p

Weird is right...check out the cover to the 'windowlicker' cd:
I always put this so everyone can see it in the music store and watch people walk by, look at it and ask "what the is this?":p |
