I got some haul-ass data recovery software. I'll PM you... call me. As long as it's still spinning, then I think I can give it a go to read the data.

Also if it's still spinning you can try to put it in an external enclosure and plug it in to a different computer. Maybe the boot files are corrupt. You can also put it in the freezer before you try it. Good luck!

Me and my friend both have 1.5TB, 7200.11, and they work great.

Seagate needs to die
I just recently had big problems with my 750TB drive. Once I managed to get it working again (thank god) I moved all my files off it and got rid of it.

Thx for link. Only problem is, it has to run from windows, and my drive won't allow other drives with windows to work.. so I can only run dos programs from boot. Going to try that multiboot disk on my next day off.. or rainy day. Weather is too nice for me to try and fix things indoors :p

when you hook up the other drives make sure you change the pins on the back of the drives (master/slave)

^^ what he said... (if they are older drives.. you may have drive select cables too

My laptop has just died but I took it in to staples and he says the data recovery will be between 80 and 160 bucks!
