I'm on jury duty right now and I'm relieved that I have wifi access while waiting for my name to be called. I wouldn't mind being called to a case since work is a bit crazy right now :clown:

i sat on a murder trial once. a bunch of polish people were drinking and one of them got violent. since the DA couldn't definitively prove that the victim didn't die from getting beaten or from an accident, we voted guilty on the lesser charge of negligent homicide (down from murder 2 and manslaughter).

well i can understand a guy being out drunk with his girlfriend and some other s start and it turns sour, but just being out with your friends and you start getting cranky and it turns into a big fight where you actually kill someone? get a grip lol trunks, did the polish person kill one of his friends or something? or a random person?

when i got drunk once, i met this one dude that was into self-asphixia masturbation... he asked me to be his spotter, so i went back to his house to spot him. I was too drunk to spot and passed out and he died. The entire thing went to trial, but i was found not guilty....

ya.....

If you haven't almost killed someone, you weren't really drunk, imo.

Last time I was selected, it was a civil case between a drug company and some woman. I was chosen to be on the jury, but they settled it on the day they started the case was supposed to start.

I could be doing a civil or a criminal case. I'm hoping to get picked for a criminal case. I don't mind being on "vacation" :p

How much do they compensate you?

Normally $40 a day, but my job has to compensate me for a certain number of days while I serve.
