Hello, i used to use REASON and it was very simple to get the vocoder make the vocal sounds like the instrument that is going through the vocoder. this meant that you could get a piano to move in the way vocal did or a synth etc..
im now using cubase and the vocoder built in does not allow me to make any synth i want to move in the way the vocal is breathing. is there a vocoder plugin for cubase that would allow me to have a pad which sounds comes from Sylenth1, and the vocal triggers the sound of sylenth to move instead of just have that electonic sounding vocoder in cubase. it seems to me that the vocoder in cubase is merely a vst that allows the vocal to run through it but you cannot use another vst to determine the outputting sound of the vocal??
