i normally buy my mom flowers and take her out for lunch or dinner but she is in hong kong right now and wont be back until june. :(
i looked at sending her flowers but they wont arrive until monday so im not gonna bother. |

$200 Spa package, me and my bro got her a big card and we're taking her out to dinner or ordering Sunday evening... Don't usually bother with the flowers, they last only a few days and cost way too much usually. Actually, what i've done instead buying the "standard" flowers, i've just bought her a tree or rosebush or some other sort of flowers that she can actually plant in the flowerbeds, or yard so that she could enjoy it all summer long.
She was looking for a "RedBud" tree this year, but couldn't find it. |

My sister and I took my mom to see Il Divo on Tuesday. Good thing we celebrated early... she's leaving for Poland tomorrow for 2 months and I can't even hug or kiss her goodbye because I have a really bad cold and she's scared that if she catches it, they will quarantine her in Warsaw because of swine flu :wtf:
She's so paranoid about it that I'm staying at my boyfriend's house until she leaves lol.... ed up |

Plants as gifts ftw! Much better than an overpriced bouquet that only lasts for a few days :)
I wish my mummy weren't all the way in Shanghai so we could do the fancy afternoon tea like we did last year. It was so cute and dainty! |

Sent Ma and Grandma both flowers and cards.
I think Mother's day is a fantastic holiday - the reality is that every day is NOT mother's day. In fact it's almost the opposite, given how tirelessly most moms work day in and day out! |
