Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar (Subtara Remix)

This is the final version.

The high-end short, shooting stars, at the break are a touch shrill. You might want to pass them through a high-shelf-EQ/LP filter just to shave some of that off.

The hook sounded out of key with the lead, at the end of the break. That may have been intended but I was hoping for more of a climax keeping the lead throughout much of the end.

Love the sounds you have.

Not your typical mix, however, that draws me into it. This felt a little pushy - again, could be a preference, but normally your mixes have a more nuanced polish that kind of pull my attention into them.

I like it enough to have added it to my collection, but I think you ought to keep working with it and iron some of the rough spots a bit. This could be really, really good.

I like it!, glue it together a bit more (ear candy still feels a bit "dropped on top" ) but furthermore well done! like the groove in the percussion

How many more remixes of this do we need, will have a listen on the strength of your previous stuff.

I agree with this and its the major downer of this for me, well apart from the remix just plodding along, it doesnt catch my interest really.

I've listened to the track five maybe six times, I can't get used to the kick you used. It does do the track justice with the bass so it's no problem to listen to, but it's just personal preference.

By the sound of things you keep track of what's hip and happening on the scene and you really work that out in this track. Thumbs up!

The high whiney synth that plays along the stretch of the 7 - 8 minutes doesn't really fit the present trends, but it adds a nice edge and may very well be a coming trend :)

I can imagine this track working very well in a big event or something :)

Cheers and thanks a lot for sharing!

break is in another key. The plucked synths part of the main beat that follows sound extremely dissonant against the main part. You envoke one of the most well known melodies in EDM but it is followed with a beat that is outof tune and more of a denoument. It begs the question as to why you even bothered.

The overall groove just isn't there. It sounds very square and because of the tempo, it just drags along. The bass is no clear and is lost with the kick as soon as anything else comes in. The mix is not very compressed which allows the opportunity to use some dynamics but you don't. All the synths are very static , perfectly quantized, no dynamics either via volume or filter.

Hoho, track got butchered, probably well deserved.

Thanks for listening though, i tried to make something that would work on the dancefloor, and do a different kind of twist of this already remixed to death track.

Im kinda experimenting a bit these days, guess people arent too keen on this one, good to know though..

so.. are you going to make an 'original' from this base or what :p?!
