I don't know but to me Sander was just boring his first couple tracks were great then it just was a bit boring until like 15-20 mins to the end. Yeah he played his hit tracks towards the end but nothing that set me off the deep end and to come on after the opening dj and start off at 126 and end at 134 to me is a bit weak for sander. Also it seemed empty for Pacha as well that night for a DJ who's top 20 dj in the world and it wasn't as packed as it was last time. I miss the old Sander from 2006 and his first appearance in NY when he played with Second Sun and Markus Schulz and just destroyed that dance floor :(

Just my two cents, I may be wrong haha...

im gonna get flamed for this, but I really think it depends on how MUCH you go out. back in toronto (ie: younger days), I went to any party, local or big name, because I liked BOTH. Even when I first moved to NYC, I loved ANY party, locals included.

I *still* like both, and I looove our locals (no doubt our locals are some of the best hidden gems in the world!). but I also like to do OTHER things now on my weekends, and have a career that tires me out more than I used to be.

so my event selection goes as this:

Big name I want to see + awesome local: I'm going

Big name I **dont** really wanna see + awesome local: I will see the local next time he plays because he/she is always around, so I will wait for the big name.

thats just how *I* run my weekend schedule, it really has nothing to do with how much I like the locals, because they are awesome. I just have this sense of "I have plenty of weekends to see them play, so this weekend I will go to dinner/lounge/bar/sports event/etc...." The big names are what cements the event in my calender.

*BUT you do have a point marcello, the locals have been destorying places lately and zack was NO JOKE this weekend!!! the best I have heard from him EVER, and this includes both opening and closing sets. :eyes:

that and venue. if this party were at say webster hall i probably would have gone just to hear zack and hang out.

also, ditto to marcello on the locals. with that said are we having those parties on sundays in the village? those summer parties are the best!

Interesting that you mention that... Flawless is doing Tuesday rooftop parties on 46th st across the street from Pacha at Hudson Terrace, I think it's called... It launches tonight haha.. I think I might check it out, it looks great...

Sander was very good. Zack was killer, opening and closing. Stole the show imo.

Pretty sure Sander was the one that spun Riff, not Zack.

Zack thanks for everything man. Great set.
