I honestly don't know how I've been able to contain myself this long, but yeah, Star Trek was ing amazing. And by no means was I a Star Trek fan going in...kind of the opposite actually.
I almost don't want to say it, because they are such different movies...but it rivals The Dark Knight in terms of hugeness. See it!
Next up...Terminator: Salvation!

I definitely want to see this movie. I am also not a Star Trek fan in any way, but the trailer looks pretty impressive. Maybe I'll see it on Friday.

Saw it last night, and all I can say is WOOW. It's one of those movies that I didn't want to end. I'm honestly don't see anything topping it this summer. Not even Tranformers and Terminator. And this is coming from someone who has never watched a single ST episode before.

The whole time travel storyline which created an alternate reality is one of the best ideas I've seen.

yes, enjoyed star trek as well although I'm not a trek fan myself. it wasn't on the list of summer flix I plan to see but after reading all the good reviews I had to go check it out. esp since it was playing in imax, I try to watch as many movies as I can in imax. st is an entertaining and enjoyable popcorn flick for everyone.
however, I'm getting very excited about terminator salvation esp after the new 4 min trailer. I still have over 2 months to wait for the movie I want to see most of all--gi joe. after seeing the trailer for that (having no idea what to expect) it blew me away

at first it didn't seem likely, but recently Ah-nuld had an interview regarding his cameos in Terminator Salvation and the new Sly Stallone actioner The Expendables, in which he definitely cameos.
I can just imagine how wild the audience would go if he appears even for a split second in Terminator Salvation. that would be sick. why'd he have to get into politics and ruin our chances of ever seeing True Lies 2? :gsmile:

While I'm looking forward to Terminator: Salvation, I'm a little worried about the fact that it got a PG-13 rating. You'd think this one would be the most violent of them all, but who the knows...They absolutely can't go wrong with Bale as J.C. though.
about G.I. Joe, my first impression based on the trailer, is that its going to suck bad lol.
I'm mildly interested to see the Snake-Eyes - Storm Shadow fight they show in the previews. Other than that though, idk. Marlon Wayans? C'mon. I'm sure I'll end up seeing it though.

i wasn't happy at all to see that pg-13 rating myself, I was surprised. mcg had to water it down for the masses and wasn't glad to do that either I read. but then again live free or die hard was pg-13 and was very satisfying.
gi joe looks satisfying to me, I'm looking forward to something a bit original, I've already seen shia ledouche running mad in the streets 2 summers ago, lol. although I already made plans months ago to watch transformers in imax so I'll be watching it and liking it for what it's worth. and megan fox. I think gi joe's fight scenes look cool and well done, some nice aerial stunts, dennis quaid, and stephen sommers is a good director. I enjoyed watching ff4: rise of silver surfer and daredevil, so I tend to like some movies most people probably don't or wouldn't.
but fkg marlon wayans does ruin everything. he should be off making little man 2
