The mod matrix(endless options), the onboard effects (beautiful) and eq and the unison and the polyphony is what makes the virus shine imo

| id get the Nord Rack 2x, it has much better oscs and dacs than the virus. yes it lacks efex and stuff but that can be added in your sequencer. |

+1 regarding the nord.
The virus has more sound shaping capabilities but the nord has the better sound, better interface and better build quality. On the nord EVERY parameter is at your fingertips. The virus requires menu-diving. |

I got my Prophet 08 for $900. If you save up and keep your eye out for a good deal, I'm sure you can get one. |

It's seem most people here prefer the Nord. Interesting. I'm also looking into getting a synth. Until now, Nords never crossed my mind. I guess I gotta go research now. |

| Now that I think about it, lately I been seen a lot of bands using the Nords. I just got back from seeing an Mexican Electronica band, and they had 2 Nords. One guy had a Nord Lead 2X and the other a Nord Lead 3. One guys also had another red keyboard strapped to his shoulder. I wonder if that was a Nord too. I couldn't tell the brand. |
