For a first track this isn't half bad.
There are some very solid ideas here.
The chord progression is nice - it has an almost medieval feel to it, then the acid style bassline that comes in works well with it.
However, the offbeat bass that comes in at about 3 mins sounds horrible, get rid of it or change it for a deeper sounding sub bass sound. (IMO)
The 'insomnia' style melody that comes in sounds good and the arrangement is nice. But it's too loud and overpowers the rest of the track.
Then when it hits around 7/8 mins there is a load of distortion.
In summary - for a first attempt you show great promise.
You obviously have a good grasp of music & music theory, which is essential.
Areas to work on:
Overall mixing - the volume levels are all over the place . Some parts drown out others and there is some distortion in places.
More interesting percussion, both in sample choice and arrangement.
Also I think the track title sounds a bit clichéd... but then that's just personal opinion :p
I hope this advice helps, I know some of it may sound a bit hard on you as a new producer (not the intention) but I hope this is of some help and I look forward to hearing some of your future productions.
Feel free to contact me for any further advice etc. :)
