LOL you know when you play a track and the whole dynamics get sucked away by the subass fundamentals because at home you could only hear it's 2nd and 3rd order harmonics and not it's fundamental.
if PA is highpassed on 40 and you have too much energy in the 40-70hz range, your track will sound like a "Food for Woofers" car demo CD |

| The proper clubs I worked in had a mulitband compressor before the audio was is sent to the PA so this would virtually never occur :). |

i use old ass altec lansing pc speakers to see how my bass sounds :p
the thing is i know these bitches in and out, i've done dj promos on them for years so i'm really comfortable with how they respond to bass and when it's 'over the top'. so usually i'll just swap them with my monitors and go from there
thing is i never really use my events any more. i mix on my headphones. ready to welcome bad hearing in a few years |

Aye, just take solace in the fact that stem cell research will be able to cure most anything within our lifetimes.
We'll be able to extend our lives and regerate our ed ears/brains and do it all over again in a new and original fashion. |

Dude just get a cheap pair of Jensen headphones with the woofer ($20).
If you dont wanna go crazy with cash it will do the job for now.
Even now with a sub I still use my Bose headphones for cleaning up the low end. |
