So it slipped from my hand and fell, now the viewer shows a white screen...does anyone know much about the nikon cameras? Did I just screw up my camera?
Is it worth getting it fixed...or should I just buy a new camera?
So which Camera should I get? |

Question, does it still talke pictures?
Even though you may not see your picture on your LCD, take the card out, and see if the picture turned out fine on your computer. If it does, your camera is ok, and your LCD may have been disconnected. Open it up carefully, and it's probably the thin ribbon cable, so push it back in the slot. |

Definitely double check if the pictures are fine. If the LCD is cracked or the cables are disconnected, it's possible to fix. Instructions can usual be found online, and cheaper parts than the ones the camera company carries. Fix it yourself if you can...way cheaper than repair shops. My LCD screen cracked on my old camera and it was all white. I bought a screen off e-bay and fixed the screen myself. It worked perfectly.

The pictures are ok. They take normal pics but nothing shows up on the viewer.
My friend says it looks like the lcd screen is cracked...but I just don't see that it's even cracked. He says to just buy a new camera.

Honestly...fix the screen yourself. it'll cost you like $20 instead of $300 |

Yes, if you open it up, you'll see one or two ribbon cables coming out of the screen, see if one of them has separated from the slot.

If the screen isn't cracked, it's usually the cable. |
