Take a dash of acid, a table spoon of funk, sprinkle with fx and serve it with a sizzling preacher vocal. What do you get? My newest track: Alfi - If You Believe.

I had alot of fun making it, and I hope you like it.

bump? aka i need some remixes of this track, anyone interested?

i like this but i would thicken up the drumgroove.

why does the drum sound like its going through a bandpass

bass is kinda repetitive and synths sound hollow

groove is alright though, but these 3 points prevent it from really pumping imo

This sounds good on my speakers. The kick does sound a little anemic on the on-line player, compared to the bass-line, and I kind of imagine that you were putting the emphasis on that. You might want to round out the sub-bass in that kick, though.

It sounds a lot like Ritchie Hawtin's (plastic man) Artefact - old-school but very groovy.

Could definitely do a remix, at some point, if you're putting a pack, together.

I don't like the reverb/delay on the bassline. Plus it sounds like it's too loud in the mix and therefore completely drowns out the bassdrum.

The percussions sound like loops, which makes the whole thing pretty lifeless.

I like the idea behind this track but the execution needs more work. You definitely need some extra elements to spice things up, the whole tracks starts to drag towards the end.

Oh, and where were the breaks?

I agree that this is repetitive and a bit slow in buildup. I dont see this as a problem for techno though.
Groove from percussion is nice.
The vocal sample fits quite well, I feel like it could do with a bit less crushing though.
This is getting pretty trippy with the lead and the FX in the end, I like that.
Good track, thanks for sharing!

@mr mystery:
the breaks are kinda hidden, the kick follows this pattern:
1---2---3---4---
K-k-Kk-kK--kK-k-
K=kick at full velocity, k=lowered velocity

thats partly why the kick is so shallow in the bass area, i didnt want to ruin the bassgroove with sidechaining it..

i might put some more variation in the perc department, it does kinda get a little boring after a while..

im gonna do some eq-work on it, and ill see if i can whip up a lil' remixpack for anyone who wants

From a completely non-technical, non-producer perspecive I agree it needs something more, bass tweaking/variation perhaps?
God effort though.
