I just happened to see that Christopher Lawrence was at this desert rave in 1997.
(at 5:20 you can see his name on the screen)

Does anyone else have videos of headliners at non profit / diy parties?

Freaking awesome thread.

I'd love to see more of these!

Wouldn't it be a blast to see some Sasha vid from the early 60's?

I think I've seen a similar video from the early 90's where Orkidea played some really weird, and banging stuffs. Too bad I can't seem to find it. :(

Maybe we should ask him(?) :D

Yeah, that would mean he had traveled back in time to before he was born. :p

There are plenty of threads with old '90s Sasha vids (like this one). I don't know of any where he's playing an illegal party, though.

Beat me to it :p

Desyn Masiello mentions he used to play at illegal parties all the time in London at the beginning of his career. It's very unlikely that there are videos though.

well i could post vids of lee burridge, hawtin, or carl cox playing at various burning man camps, and bm is technically non profit diy, but its so big and exposed now it doesnt count.

maybe someone can go through all these vids and recognize a face:

I make one sarcastic comment about how old he is, and now we're talking about nothing other than that? :thepirate

This video is shot the next morning, it's awesome.

I missed the Dune raves as I was still living in Seattle. But I had friends who went religiously and said they were amazing.
