I've begun to watch it, and now I'm an addict. The acting is awesome, Gabriel Byrne looks so real.
Any fans?

Yes. A friend of mine (who happens to be a psychologist) just recommended it to me and I'm hooked. Like you said Byrne did a very good job playing the therapist and it looks so real, but so adapted to television, that you can't help but get inside the narrative.
It's really appalling that this show is so underrated. One year later and I'm the first person to reply!? Didn't anyone see the trailer?

I love this show

Yeah, this show is amazing. The second season is 100X better than the first imo. The first has kind of obvious patients.
- The hot chick he's in love with
- The ace figher pilot with pts
- The abused girl
- The fighting couple
The second season has much more depth and dimension in the patients. But the acting all around is superb. I'm not a huge fan of the episodes where he talks with the supervisor/mentor/professor chick. But it does add more of a narrative to the show.

I think I made a thread about it about a year ago here but it might have been somewhere else.
But yeah, EXCELLENT show. My ex who's a social worker got me into it. She was amazed at how realistic it actually was.
And I agree, season 2 was even better than season 1. Every story was so powerful in its own way.
Felt so damn bad for Oliver last season. It really tugs at you when you're watching.

According to wiki, season 3 is on the way. Good news bc last I heard, the Israeli version on which it's based was up in the air.
I hope the US writers don't stray too far from the original Israeli style.

There won't be an Israeli Seasion 3 unfortunately. As I wrote in the TV shows thread, the main actor is a real life sociopath.
from his wiki:

In March 2009, Dayan was indicted on suspicion of drug use and beating his girlfriend. In the wake of an earlier conviction for possession of drugs, he received a suspended sentence and 200 hours of community work as part of a plea bargain. Dayan admitted at the time that he was in possession of cocaine for personal use. In November 2009, Dayan suffered a massive heart attack and underwent angioplasty at Tel Aviv's Ichilov hospital.
