There must be some sort of insanity here as I find as much as I might like my leads and pads enough to save them initially and go through the process of resampling/processing, once in the mix they just don't seem to sound right to me.
Here's a short house loop with one playing a 5 note chord pattern. Sounds very tiring to me... does anyone concur?
Lately been having a lot of trouble doing any mixes beyond percussion as the leads and pads drown too much out, are too annoying, etc.

ok thanks for the replies!
When I give this loop a relisten I tend to feel better about the lead even though I'll have to soften it up a bit... mostly wanted comments about the lead and not so much everything else.
I think just listening to the same loops over and over again just makes it so boring I have to drop the project for a couple days. |
