| I watched this yesterday & was pretty satisfied. even with the pg-13 rating the director mcg pulled it off well; it was definitely miles better than the r-rated T3 which I didn't like much at all. I'll watch it again because of the eye candy (post judgment day world) and action sequences among other things. def a flick to check out this summer |

| I just got back from the movie theater and all I have to say is that it is worth checking out. Not revealing details, but its worth it. |

| The action and the terminators are a ton of fun. So good that they actually make it a thumbs up for me, given the terrible story, acting, and ridiculous holes in the plot. Seriously, some of it is unbelievably bad. But still, totally entertaining overall. |

I saw it this weekend and was really dissapointed. The reviews for the movie going in were pretty bad, so I was already a little skeptical. But I really really wanted it to be good. T1 and T2 are definitely on my all-time favorite movie lists. Christian Bale as John Connor...so far so good.
I just think the movie fell apart in the last half and went off the ridiculous end a few times. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hadn't seen it, so I won't mention specific scenes, but I was actualy laughing out loud during certain scenes that were supposed to be dead serious.
On a positive note, I really liked the guy who played the Terminator. He did a great job, and stole the show. The action scenes were great ovbiously too. And I also liked a lot of the nods to the previous Terminator movies.
I didn't hate the movie, I just don't think it belongs in the same category as the first 2, not by a long shot. |

Totally agree Zack. I'm thinking a spoiler alert thread might be in order, I'm itching to talk about the oh-no-they-dih-ihnt moments. |

Its a much BIGGER movie than T3. The action scenes / CGI really are incredible.
I personally liked T3 better though.
Funny enough...Bale isn't all that great in the movie. He talks in that same stupid voice he does in The Dark Knight. The guy who plays the Terminator is great though. |

salvation is definitely a diff movie from the first 3. I knew this going in, I saw that it's different as soon as I watched the 1st online trailer that came out. I think that if more people knew going in that salvation should be in a separate category from the other movies they would appreciate this one more.
many people were disappointed because they expected more of the same instead of a movie that plays out like a chapter in an ongoing story (which it is, because they plan/nned to make 2 more I read). however, this movie is post judgment day, and things definitely could not be the same as they were in the previous installments.
I got what I expected-some cool explosions, action scenes, interesting terminators, and I've always wanted to see how things would be in the post-judgment day world, which I think the director portrayed pretty well & which is one of the reasons why I'll watch it again on the big screen. for those things I got my money's worth. would I give it 5 stars for a great story, acting or such? no way. it's not a great movie, it's summer eye candy. much enjoyed ;) |

How come the Terminator guards in the Skynet facility were wearing trenchcoats?
The main terminator jump starts a car, the radio turns on and a Skynet patrol immediately shows up. Resistance forces have a 50 on 1 gunfight culminating in John Conor dropping massive napalm bomb... no Skynet patrols in sight. Huh? |
