Enveloppe modulation trick for you guys

Heres a trick to control how concave or convex you want your enveloppes to be.
The only thing you need is a synth with enveloppe as a mod source and this same enveloppe's stages as destination.
Lets say you want to create extra punchy filter enveloppes, ie very concave decay time.
Set your attack to 0 and decay time to "medium" (this depends alot on the synth, just choose a setting higher than the decay time you actually want).
Now go in your mod matrix and choose as a source filter enveloppe, and filter enveloppe decay as destination.
Play your sound and put a negative value for the modulation amplitude. The filter enveloppe decay time should be much shorter, and the feel much "snappier"
Play with different decay times and NEGATIVE modulation amplitudes to get the desired feel.
Nothing groundbreaking, but quite nice if you want to make an extra punchy bass |

OR just buy a synth with customisable envelope curves..? |

ive thought about this, surely there has to be more controll out there than recursive modulation.. like say i want the first half of the decay to be convex, but the second half concave. this is why i use the built in cubase audio tracks fader, instead of a sampler and ADSR |
