Beginning is teh win!
After circle of diads/plucked chords ends, muted chords kind of lose energy for the track, and while stagnation can build tension a general lack of progression kind of kills it. Nice gate/snare attack-build into part with hook, but the lack of progression kind of stagnates making most of the motion in the track created only by snare attack-builds.
Guitar sound during break leaves a little to be desired and sounds a little detuned but the break turns into something a little lovely, just prior to the re-launch. Again, nice work in the attack-builds
Post re-launch is more of the same, only louder. Loop is now driving me insane. Right before I'm about to turn the tune off, the part from the beginning comes back in. Why didn't you do more with that?
Too loopy - far too loopy, and I'm not talking about the good kind of loopy. It's a loop - the entire song is one or two 4-bar loops with muted and un-muted tracks to attempt to create a sense of progression.
I feel cheated and betrayed. I feel hurt. I was lead on, coquettish music producer, and, in the end, you thought turning up the volume would substitute for... well...
ugh...
I'm to hurt to carry on. You have broken me! ;) (sort of) |
