I disagree, i think it was the effect of those vodka bottles that u had soo much fun ... musically it was nowhere close to what it be... Bayer Sucked , Carola was better but nothing special at all... i wish Format B did'nt miss their flight ... |

I got there at around 12'ish to see Marco Carola playing. It was my first time seeing him live and I didn't find the set to be anything really crazy but it wasn't horrible either. I recognized Broombeck- Monoturn being played which was fun hearing out live. I could see ppl recognizing it too and having fun. I saw Beyer in Oct at Circa and he played better then, he was more harder. I guess cuz maybe at that time he was paired with Joel Mull. But yeah he came on later than I expected at like 2 AM and I recognized a track from Shlomi Aber's recorded from the Raleigh at the WMC, the one with the distorted male speaking which I desperately want the track id for!
All in all, it was an alright night out, it wasn't horrible really. I just felt the mixing was a little unexciting from both parties and didn't get the placement of some tracks in the set. I could see ppl slowing down when the next track wasn't as hot as the one before. It was really up and down. As always, TiL brought out a great crowd, even though there were alotta drunkards who didn't who was playing but whatevs. I found everyone to be nice and there was minimal shoving and pushing which is what I like about the club. Oh and the sound wasnt overbearing either. |

i had to leave early but caught most of carola's set... simple generic tech house but was enjoyable. was getting swingier and faster paced around 2 when I left, but not sure if the crowd was ready for full blown techno (all i remember hearing in downloaded beyer sets)
kind of disappointing after his amazing set in the gallery the other halloween.. but the best i could imagine him doing for an early slot at TiL
and format b flopped?! weak |

Beyer didn't play too radically different from Carola which was disappointing, There was still a decent size crowd after 2 as well. I guess ppl were waiting for Beyer to come on, so maybe they knew the DJs afterall.
I find tech house and techno challenging to mix in a great set but I stilllove the sound. It just didnt' feel these guys were putting thought into the programming of the sets |
