After Ip man I suggest Fatal Contact or The Rebel
just finished watching ip man.. great movie, really enjoyed it. most newer kung fu movies usualy fail to capture both good kung fu and that old world chinese vibe which i like so much about martial arts movies.. but this was bang on the money.
i shall investigate into those other 2 movies :)

The Rebel is more like Ip Man. Fatal Contact is just good for the fighting scenes. Ip Man 2 is coming soon and it will have someone playing Bruce Lee in it as well :eyes:

hehe yeah i noticed that on imdb ;) i just hope the second stays in a similar vein to the first and dosnt get too carried away with the fight scenes.. making guys fly around on wires doing quadruple spinning birdkicks etc etc. as this really ruins martial arts movies for me. which is why i dont watch jet li movies.
enjoy the movie chris :)

Just watched Ip Man and I absolutely love it! The fight scenes are so bad ass, this is on my favorites list now!

ugh, i told you about Ip Man A LONG TIME AGO
Wong Kar Wai is supposed to be doing a film on Ipman as well.
Some really nice fighting scenes there and the storyline is actually pretty good. And to top it off the sequal is actually about as good as the first movie.
Couldn't actually find any good clip from youtube... But seriously check the movie out!
EDIT: And not really any of the hollywood wire bull.

Everything is pretty much a letdown after Ip Man, eventually you get used to it! Just wait for Ip Man 2, according to Donnie yen its gonna be twice as good as the first.
