Disclaimer: I know there is obviously a fair amount of classic M.I.K.E. records missing in this mix, that certainly deserved to be there. But a mix can only be so long, so I had to make a tough selection. And trust me, it was very hard. The eventual choice of tracks was influenced by the personal availability of the tracks, the soundquality of the files, the mixing nature of certain records and of course just the feeling of the day. A lot of great tracks therefore just didn't make the cut, but don't worry, they might pop up in part 2, somewhere in the future ;) |

One of the tracks that missed the final cut. I actually had the choice between this one and the R.E.S.P.E.C.T. remix, and in the end I chose the latter. But this is a great remix indeed :)
But no matter how many tracks I included, there would have always been "Oh, and what about this one?" comments ;) That's just how extensive and impressive Mike's discography is. |

Well, I wanted to stray away from the all too obvious. And fact of the matter, since I'm such an avid Mike fan and therefore very familiar with almost his entire oeuvre, I could easily list 40 tracks I like more than Strange World. I don't underestimate its impact and the fierce power it holds, but it's never really been that special to me personally :) |

Great work Jasper, will download. I would have made a totally different choice, but I respect the time and effort you have put in it.
I really miss Musix - Do Ya See The Light... such an overlooked M.I.K.E. record, its actually very scary. I would also haved picked Globe vs Push - Tranceformation.. Such a killer melody.
Anyway.. time to listen when I get back to work :D |

I don't have that one unfortunately :( And since Is This The Way I Feel - which I rate almost equally high - was readily available, I chose that one :) And as far as Tranceformation is concerned, I opted for the less know Sweet Pain remix, which is also a collaboration with Japanese Globe. |

If you make a part 2:
I'm surprised that you didn't include Ultra Vibe - Choose Freedom and
MIKE - Sunrise At Palamos. Two favourites of mine.
Also would have included Bloodhound Gang - Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo (MIKE remix). It's by far the best MIKE have done in the last 10 years and extreamly underrated. |

Don't get me wrong, I love the track, but I felt there are other M.I.K.E. alias tracks that are just as good, but never got that much attention. :) |
