I'm pretty new to DJ'ing myself and just curious. (I'm not trying to get ahead of myself or anything, possibly just get a little more motivation)
How long were you a bedroom DJ until you got your first gig? Doesn't matter small or large. |

6 months of practice, practice, practice before i played in front of a crowd for the first time
it was at least a year before i was confident to pull it off on the fly with no mistakes |

| it depends a lot on where you play your first time. if you do your own promoting, fill the crowd with a lot of your friends the it'll go much smoother and you'll be much more comfortable playing than say in front of a crowd of complete strangers |

Was a bedroom DJ for about 2 & 1/2 years before playing my first club gig (Still consider myself a bedroom DJ). Played to a room of about 50-60 complete strangers except for 3 friends.
I was pretty nervous, but it wen't well. Had a lot of fun, and am waiting to get another booking. Also, I didn't get paid, if you do get paid for your first gig, don't expect it to be much. |

You got point.
But, to the point: I am a starting deejay, and I have no stress: Will I be deejaying for a crowd in one year: OK. Will I be deejaying for a crowd in two years: OK.
Be ready to deejay for a great(er) crowd. :toothless |
