I'm not the most well versed in Lawler live sets. Saw him in NYE 04 in Taipei and then 2008 Viva Toronto set. He was good indoors but the sunrise set was meh.
Now I've been listening to his sets in 09 and WOAH!! The Essential Mix and Live@D'Edge Brasil are especially delicious. :D
Hello drums, hello diva moments, hello sexyness, hello chunky darkness. I'm so excited to hear that big room with quite a few random sprinkles of housey goodness. If anyone does tribal best it's Lawler.
You go Lawler and please keep on with those fantastic sets :D

His mixes as of late have been such a sexy array of drum filled tunes that Lawler does best. I've really fallen out of love with Lawler last year as well and after listening to some recent mixes I'm really itching to fly back from Aus for Canada Day as my winter break is then. Squish/sketchfest or not I would enjoy hearing him with this sound :D

I didn't mind tribal while it was around, but variety is best imo when it's done properly. We'll see how he does on canada day but I'll be there mostly for the other djs.

I wouldnt say he has gone fully tribal (at least from what i have heard) but his sets have a bit of tribal influence. Some sets have a couple tracks with a tribalish sound while Im sure some have an even larger presence of the drums.
I've noticed a lot of djs are playing some 'tribalish' tracks. I like it. Im not a fan of full on tribal, but a bit of drums here and there make me very happy :)
