Guetta wasn't there. He ended up booking in DC or another city. Check out his F*** Me I'm Famous production in Ibiza Thursday nights or in Miami WMC week and then tell me he is pure horsecrap. Yes, some of his tunes are cheesy, but he can play bangin tunes @ the same time.
Plus, you must put into consideration other factors such as the crowd a DJ brings. Here in LA, the house scene is way different from the trance scene. I wasn't gonna go to his Miami F Me I'm Famous show until they day before some chicks asked if we wanted to buy a hard ticket.
Get Guetta here any night of the year and your guaranteed a sold out venue. |

Op, I think you might have been at Toa with derick morillo, because i was at Tao and he killed it, coked out or not. Lots of huge tech house, prog, and tribal. Perfect mixing all night, proper use of efx, loops, filters and acapella's, everything in key.. only thing I don't like is when he purposely cuts the sound to with everyone once in awhile, other than that no complaints here.

Paul makes more $ from movie scoring i think right now...his asking price is $1 million per film. but i'm sure Erick can buy whatever he wants getting $40K or so per weekend show...he easily makes a million or two a year i'd speculate just by looking at the # of gigs he plays per year. heck, Hed Kandi was to get $40K per Sat nite in Ibiza this summer and Erick's shows are bigger revenue generators that those...meaning he should make near a million just from Pacha this summer... |
