German states ban Red Bull after discovery of cocaine in the drink

BERLIN - Six German states have told retailers to stop selling Red Bull Cola energy drinks after a test found a trace amount of cocaine.
The bans started Friday after a sample test conducted by authorities in North Rhine-Westphalia state found 0.4 micrograms per litre in the drink.
Five other states also banned it from shops amid concerns over possible narcotics law violations.
Germany's Federal Institute for Risk Assessment said Monday that the cocaine level was too low to pose a health risk. It planned to produce a more detailed report Wednesday.
Red Bull said its cola is "harmless and marketable in both the U.S. and Europe." It said similar coca leaf extracts are used worldwide as flavouring, and a test it commissioned itself found no cocaine traces.

| I had coca leaf tea in argentina once. They use it for relief from higher altitudes. In natural form its no worse than a cup of coffee. |

Remember the drinks in the US that contained amphetamine? I couldnt finish those because my heart would be racing so fast. Now where did i leave my red bull cola? LOL |

I will never forget the day after I had about 6 thai red bull, in Thailand. At that point I would not have been surprised to hear there was other in it.

I had a run in with that stuff as well. After 6 with vodka in an hour i downed half a case of water without even thinking about it!
What a sketch day from hell! LOL |

Honestly I don't really even remember how many it was, at least 6. Things got fuzzy once I moved on to the third bucket. (red bulls # 7-9) |

There was even a bottle that looked more authentic + classic than the one posted. it had like thai writing and looked straight out of cambodia or something lol
anyways that was the newer label that you could get from chinatown back in like 2003. i wish i kept those bottles. looked like a serum bottle from resident evil. |
