its not like i walked up to my dad and knocked him out while he was sipping a tea watching tv. im talking you get into an argument and he steps out of line either pushes you or tries to throw the smack down, and you have to check him. its happened quite a few times before. my pops is an extremist. Hes either super happy or really pissed, so some fights he steps out of line and charges. The last time i kicked his ass he got into a yellingmatch with my mother and pushed her. I wont have that in my house so i had to beat him down and put a little fear into him. |
he's probably bipolar dude |

I dont think you know what bipolar is. hes just an extremist with emotions, they dont switch out of nowhere, hes just what the italians call simpatico.
If he wakes up in a good mood hes in a great mood all day with everyone, If he wakes up in a pissy mood hes in a pissy mood all day, hes also an alpha male....hes cool, very charming with people. He's definitely where i got my charm from and also my aggressiveness. I definitely got my big heart and patience from my mother though. |

haha.. damn dude. That sounds so backwards. It's usually the dad who gives the beating to the son who crosses the line with mom.
It's such a foreign idea for me to even think about having a physical altercation with my dad. Don't get me wrong, we've had some titanic shouting matches... but I would end up feeling bad for saying stuff even months after saying it. Haha... beating up your pops. Crazy. |

| well i got pretty big in my twenties. i never fully kicked his ass, i mean its your dad. but deffinately tackle to him to the ground and put him in a hold until he calms down, throw in a few shots. when i was younger it was different, he'd kick my ass. i deserved each one, either tellin him to go himself or something stupid. If a fight gets to loud shouting usually he will lose it and he will charge so ill tackle him and throw him in a lock. and then he'll be like "oh you think because your big and strong you are the man of THIS house!?!?" its quite funny actually |

not me but two good stories.those with add stop reading now.
first story:
i was about 19 and had just walked into my girlfriends house after a major fight between her brother and father.her father used to beat her and siblings, and her mother when she was younger.
apparently he hadnt done it for years and her brother, who was 16 and in really good shape was getting to a size where he wasnt going to be able to do it anymore anyway.but her dad got into a fight with her mom and he thought he was going to hit her so he jumped on him.they wrecked the whole kitchen.dishes were smashed, the table was broken, door was broken etc.
by the time i got there the dad had rolled out.her brother said to me"i didnt win,but i didnt lose either" after their mom broke the fight up he told him if he ever touches him or anyone again he would kill him.he told me after they were separated he could see it in his dads eyes that hid dad knew he would never be able to be violent with them again.he never was either.
best story:
a guy i knows dad used to brutally beat his mom.
the end.
just kidddin.anyway when he was about 18 his dad got into an argument with his mom and hit her.he stepped between him and told him it was the last time.he said his father went to grab him and he knocked him out.completely out.when he woke up he told if he ever found out he touched his mom again he would beat him worse.
after he moved out he would still come over to visit and for holidays.he said thanksgiving was the best.there would be all this family over, everyone having a good time, drinking ,laughing etc.
he would come over and when the food was all brought out his father would come down, not speak to him or anybody else, grab a plate of food, and go upstairs.he wouldnt come back down until his son left.some of my friends relatives would say"come on sit down here with us!"but he never does.
he had to explain it to his girlfriends and eventual wife if he would bring them over for thanksgiving.he wouldnt sugar coat it to them either he would tell them his dad beat his mom and he knocked him out once.so dont expect to see him or have a conversation with him lol.
anyway one thanksgiving his dad comes down for his usual plate 'o food, and he hears him in the kitchen arguing with his mom about something.he said he could tell his dad was getting enraged like he used to do when he beat his mom but he was trying to be quiet about it so people(or more importantly probably him) wouldnt hear.
he said he got up and walked into the kitchen and when his dad turned around and he said to him "you want it again old man?"he said his dads eyes were filled with nothing but anger but he knew he couldnt do anything about it.he just went back upstairs.
he said his father has never spoken to him since he knocked him out which hes fine with.
one thing about guys who fight their abusive fathers and win is the dad usually never forgives or forgets it.their ego can never overcome the fact they can no longer just do what they want to people.each of my friends said the same thing that their dads never get the look of resentment out of their eyes for them.
but thats the look all abusive people have when they know they cant push someone around.i love that look it shows how weak these people are. |

that's really sad. the only thing i can't believe is the mother. i mean why doesn't she just leave the bastard? if i was that guy (your friend) i would make my mom leave him. he sounds like an who deserves to be alone in life.
i hit my stepdad with my tennis racket one time when i was like 13 and talked a bunch of and threatened him and he laid off lol my mom ended up leaving him eventually thank god. |

This reminded me of Vladmir Nabokov's Lolita. |
