This month we feature JES:
Jes Brieden is a singer, songwriter and producer. Born and raised in New York City, she studied art and singing in an art school. In 2001, while she was working at a recording studio in LA, Jes met Mike Olson, and the two formed Guardians of the Earth. Songs they produced include Star Children and One Moon Circling. Star Children was included on Paul van Dyk's 2001 Ministry of Sound compilation The Politics of Dancing. Inspired by this new voice of herself, she began working with more DJs and producers.
Her most well known works were created with Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden, known as Gabriel & Dresden. They formed the group Motorcycle, and its 2003 hit As the Rush Comes was a number one single on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay chart in 2004, where it also became the first year-end number one Dance Airplay track of the same year. As The Rush Comes gave Jes international exposure, which then allowed her to perform in larger venues and festivals.
Since meeting Tiësto, Jes signed with his record label, Black Hole Recordings, and released her first solo album 'Disconnect'. She also graced Tiësto’s newest artist album Elements of Life with the song 'Everything' and continues to wow crowds as the opening artist for the Tiësto Worldwide Tour of Elements Of Life. Jes has also collaborated with DJs like D:Fuse, Deepsky and Solar Stone, producing tracks like Living The Dream, Ghost, and Like A Waterfall. The last appears on the internationally acclaimed DJ Tiësto’s In Search of Sunrise 4; her other songs "People Will Go" appears on In Search of Sunrise 5, "Imagination" on In Search of Sunrise 6, and an acoustic version of Imagination on Gabriel & Dresden's Bloom Album.

I'm hoping more decent acts are announced and Tiesto won't be announced.
Are Cosmic Gate good these days? 5 years ago when I actually listened to their tunes they were awesome but haven't heard their recent stuff.
Same question for Blank & Jones I guess.
I actually really want to see J00F because I know he is teh awesome! :eyespop: |

why? what more decent acts do you need? godskitchen is a predominantly trance festival, with the current line up you have deeper progressive, epic uplifting, vocal anthems, driving tougher trance, driving psy edged tunes, harder trance, wtf do you people want? |

This month we feature BLANK & JONES:
Blank & Jones is a Cologne, Germany based Trance duo, consisting of the members Jan Pieter Blank and Jaspa Jones. They have released eight albums and more than 16 singles since their first single release "Sunrise" in 1997.
Piet Blank who recognized the great desire in him for music had his first experience in spinning a record on a turntable at age 16. Jaspa Jones, on the other hand, had his first experience as a DJ at age 19. Together with help from Andy Kaufhold (producer) they formed the trance production team Blank & Jones after meeting at the Popkomm music conference.
Even though, they had been together for a few years, their first album, In the Mix, was a studio production that came out in 1999. As of 2008, thirteen of their singles have made it into the German Top 50, and three into the Top 20. Each album made the Top 50, including two which reached the Top Ten.
Blank & Jones have teamed up with Robert Smith from The Cure, Anne Clark, Sarah McLachlan, Claudia Brücken from (Propaganda), and Delerium. They have also contributed to the Café del Mar compilation series and produced their own chill-out albums, Relax (the editions),
In 2006 Blank & Jones and their long-standing production colleague Andy Kaufhold collated their finest material on one release, The Singles, which also included two new tracks. The album was also released in Limited Edition format, in which The Singles are complemented by a DVD, bringing together all Blank & Jones videos on one disc for the first time.
They released their latest single entitled "Miracle Cure" on May 30, 2008 off their new studio album The Logic of Pleasure which is a collaboration with New Order's frontman Bernard Sumner.
When asked about the key to their success, their response is:
“We do everything digitally, on the basis of Final Scratch, which allows us to use our own edits and mixes, nothing comes straight from tape. Every set we play is unique, not only sound-wise but also in terms of what we play and how we play it. Roughly 60% of our set consists of our own repertoire, as where better to present our own material than via the DJ decks.”
